Stopped by on our way through, after walking in inner Mani. We were well looked after with honest food. Delicious pork and chicken on the grill. Simple and delicious. Love these sorts of places.

Our first time in Kokkala. Excellent food, Politimi is a nice,.genuine and friendly person! The food was absolutely delicious! Strongly recommend!

Best slow-oven-cooked Greek dishes in the area. It might look a kafeneio from outside, but it has a balcony with a true seaview.

The restaurant was great. The prices are perfect and portions were plentiful. The cook was also getting our orders and she cooked the food in a small kitchen to perfection. The spices and general composition of the food made them really great. We both could imagine that this is how Mani food really should taste.

Your only option off season that is still open. Visited twice. Can get busy around 8pm dinner time but still very quick. Generous portion sizes and decent food, amazing sunset views. Try the Greek salad (huge!) or the souvlaki.

Immaculate vibes. Came in early October and things were pretty quiet up the whole east coast of the mani, but this place was buzzing. Had a delicious meal and befriended some Greeks who bought us a pint. The goat casserole was delicious!

Friendly atmosphere. Good coffee. Local meat, from own farm, on the menu. We choose beef and goat, Tasted great! We will return :).

Our experience at the Politimi Tavern was amazing, the best and freshest traditional food is here. I highly recommend it because you find the best and most experienced service.

Absolutely delicious food and big portions! We were driving around Mani and everything was closed, being winter. Thank goodness we found this place, and it was so good!

The outside of the restaurant doesnt attract you, but it was the restaurant with the most people, out of the 2 in Kokkala. Tried many dishes, most of them are oven baked, like mousaka,stuffed veggies etc.You can ask for the freshly cooked dishes of the day. Decent portions,fresh ingredients at decent prices. Even the grilled dishes worth a try, like the meat patty.

The best deal in town with exceptionally friendly people not forgetting a magnificent meal washed down with a glass of wine (or two!) we had the very tasty “local beef “ dish plus a delicious fish. We expect to return tomorrow!
